Anne and Leigh are twins born 13 years apart. Anne is the older but beautiful-er, smarter sister. With a closet to die for and a predilection for strange foods like orange marshmallows shaped like peanuts, she likes to spin and step- as in exercise. Mom to two amazing daughters, Leigh is a crossword junkie, could easily win a pie-eating contest, and thinks that there's nothing wrong with taking out a second mortgage to support her shoe habit.
A while back, in 1992, Anne and her friend, Jane, had a brainstorm: Let's buy what we love, keep the best for ourselves and sell the rest in order to make more money to keep the cycle rolling. Their store, Frillseekers, became home to bodacious baubles, kitschy home décor, and glamorous gifts. Strange things happen, though, and Anne and the rest of the world lost a wonderful friend to cancer. Frillseekers just wasn't the same without Jane.
This is where Leigh comes in. She, too, was looking for adventure but joining the Navy was out. So, they tossed around ideas like being real estate moguls, handbag and shoe designers, and stud farm madams. Leigh liked this last one but Anne's husband, Evans, put his foot down.
One day Leigh wandered into a brilliant idea. Open one big store with lots of little individually owned boutiques. The Shops at 5807-an EXPERIENCE! A place to shop for that elusive mother-in-law gift, an incredible pair of jeans or the perfect home accent. Anne tells Leigh, "This is the best crazy idea you've had yet!" As sisters and partners, Anne and Leigh have vowed to remain not only related but on speaking terms. Join the party! The Shops at 5807.
